Common Butterfly Valve cooling Materials:

The cooling Butterfly Valve body, bonnet, and gate (disc) are key cooling water Butterfly Valve components that directly bear the medium's pressure. The materials used must comply with the "Butterfly Valve data center Pressure and Temperature Ratings."

Common materials include the following:

1. Gray Cast Iron:
Gray cast iron is suitable for media such as water, steam, air, gas, and oil with a nominal pressure PN ≤ 1.0 MPa and a temperature range of -10°C to 200°C. Common gray cast iron grades include: HT200, HT250, HT300, and HT350.

2. Malleable Cast Iron:

Suitable for media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 2.5 MPa and temperatures between -30°C and 300°C, including water, steam, air, and oil. Common grades include KTH300-06, KTH330-08, and KTH350-10.

3. Ductile Iron:

Suitable for media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 4.0 MPa and temperatures between -30°C and 350°C, including water, steam, air, and oil. Common grades include QT400-15, QT450-10, and QT500-7.

Given the current uneven quality of domestic manufacturing processes and the difficulty users face in verifying performance,
we recommend using cooling Butterfly Valve for media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 2.5 MPa for safety.

4. Acid-Resistant High-Silicon Ductile Iron:

Suitable for corrosive media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 0.25 MPa and temperatures below 120°C.

5. Carbon Steel:

Suitable for media such as water, steam, air, hydrogen, ammonia, nitrogen, and petroleum products with a nominal pressure of PN ≤ 32.0 MPa and a temperature range of -30°C to 425°C. Common grades include WC1, WCB, ZG25, high-quality steels 20, 25, and 30, and low-alloy structural steel 16Mn.

6. Copper Alloy:

Suitable for media such as water, seawater, oxygen, air, and oil with a nominal pressure of PN ≤ 2.5 MPa, as well as steam with a temperature range of -40°C to 250°C. Common grades include ZGnSn10Zn2 (tin bronze), H62, Hpb59-1 (brass), QAZ19-2, and QA19-4 (aluminum bronze).

7. High-Temperature Copper:

Suitable for steam and petroleum products with a nominal pressure of PN ≤ 17.0 MPa and a temperature range of ≤ 570°C. Common grades include ZGCr5Mo, 1Cr5Mo, ZG20CrMoV, ZG15Gr1Mo1V, 12CrMoV, WC6, and WC9. The specific selection must comply with the cooling water Butterfly Valve pressure and temperature specifications.

8. Low-Temperature Steel:

Applicable to media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 6.4 MPa and temperatures ≥ -196°C, such as ethylene, propylene, liquid natural gas, and liquid nitrogen. Common grades include ZG1Cr18Ni9, 0Cr18Ni9, 1Cr18Ni9Ti, and ZG0Cr18Ni9.

9. Stainless Acid-Resistant Steel:

Applicable to media with nominal pressures PN ≤ 6.4 MPa and temperatures ≤ 200°C, such as nitric acid and acetic acid. Common grades include ZG0Cr18Ni9Ti, ZG0Cr18Ni10 (nitric acid resistant), and ZG0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti and ZG1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti (acid and urea resistant).
